Buying ties

Many years have passed and you have grown into an experienced and wealthy trader. You find joy in meeting new people and nothing excites you more than the thrill that comes with a successful transaction and heavier pockets.

Merchants in their perahu float on the river, selling a variety of goods; primarily pepper and diamond. Masses of buyers skillfully wove their way through other perahu. The marketplace was crowded and chaotic with the shouting of merchants, offering their wares, while disgruntled buyers bargained for better deals.

As a successful trader, there is never a day where your schedule isn’t packed and hectic. In order to adapt, you learnt to acquire a certain level of discipline and patience in order to cope with the ever shifting demands of the economy.

One day, you receive word that you are invited to attend a family gathering where your family will be discussing your arranged marriage. However, on that same day, you had already agreed to a business meeting with some other traders. This business meeting could possibly elevate your status and wealth to new heights.
