The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), also known as the Night Stalkers, is a special operations force of the United States Army that provides helicopter aviation support for special operations forces. Its missions include attack, assault, and reconnaissance, and are usually conducted at night, at high speeds, low altitudes, and on short notice. The regiment's mission is to organize, equip, train, resource, and employ Army special operations aviation forces worldwide in support of contingency missions and combatant commanders. The 160th SOAR is made up of the Army's best-qualified aviators, crew chiefs, and support soldiers.

The main force and the representative unit of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, composed of elite aviators and pilots. This battalion is filled with people who have managed to pass the extensive and rigorous flight school and were gifted with the opportunity to be amongst the elite of the elite.
Eagle Battalion is made up of SOAR personnel known as crewmen. Crewmen are subjected to severe training in order to develop a variety of skills and talents. These include competent combat, effective navigation, field medicine, rappelling, vehicle maintenance, prepping and loading transport vehicles such as the Chinook, and, most importantly, serving as SOAR's primary supply of ground personnel for missions. They will be in charge of most on-the-ground activities, such as rappelling into a compound, parachuting into hostile territory, healing injured troops, aircraft preparation, aircraft repair, and much more.
