Let it be known that there shall be a Tournament to find the next Baronial Champion of Arts & Sciences!
We ask that those who wish to vie to have the following prepared:
Have prepared to present two entries to be judged on the 15th of January between 1 pm and 3 pm via ZOOM
By January 8th, contact His Excellency Bjar the Blue and the current Champion, Hallsbjorn Magnusson with a brief description of your entries so that we can prepare judges
E-mail a copy of your documentation and images to HE Bjar for distribution to the judges by January 13th. We'd love to show off your entries as well, with your permission and a release form
Not sure what documentation is about? It's there to communicate what you learned, what you did, and anything else you wish to share.
It should be as detailed as it needs to be (don't panic if it is 3 to 5 pages long per entry). You can find some prompts HERE
For a better idea of the degree of detail being looked for, Judging Forms can be found HERE
In recognition of our close history with the shires of Ayresgarde and Windwyrm, we would open the lists to include them as well. No membership is required to enter, only a willingness to champion the Arts & Sciences as best you can and to find a successor when your time is done.

and
Hallsbjorn Magnusson (champion-as [dot] montengarde [dot] org)
All entrants will be invited to showcase their entries with the Displays below.
Contact Li Xia ( virtualSCAdian [at] gmail [dot] com or Alysa Harron on Facebook ) to get your digital space set up.
For additional information on Judging Forms, please see the Montengarde website
Want to show something off without the pressure of vying for Champion?
Come join the Arts & Sciences Display table!
Open to anyone in the Known World planning on attending Montengarde's Virtual 12th Night on January 15, 2022.
But why should I show off my stuff?
Why not? You've already put time and effort into it, now's the time to share it with others
But what if it isn't finished?
A work in progress is still an opportunity to share what you've done so far and a chance to collect feedback
Can I enter something just for showing off and not collecting feedback?
Definitely! There is planned to be simple feedback forms set up in google docs but you are welcome to simply show your project on it's own
But is my thing even A&S?
Absolutely! And yes, that's a blanket statement. Did you create, research, perform, or otherwise conceptualize a thing?... then, YES it is A&S.
How do I enter something?
Contact Li Xia ( virtualSCAdian [at] gmail [dot] com or Alysa Harron on Facebook )
Each participant will be given an online platform to show of their stuff!
Technical help is available for everyone.

One of the joys of 12th Night has long been the fabulous fashions being worn!
Between 4 pm to 5 pm in the Social room, you're invited to show off your garb! New, old, covered in dinosaurs (they are pre 16th Century after all), show us what period and culture your're wearing or tell us all about the outfit you had planned! It's all welcome!
Can't come to 12th Night but you still want to show off your most excellent of outfits?
You can make it but you have more outfits to show off than you can wear?
Send in images to Li Xia ( virtualSCAdian [at] gmail [dot] com or Alysa Harron on Facebook by January 12th and we will show it off as part of the A&S online gallery! Please include a release form for use of your images.
For any images sent in, please include the Photo Release form to give him permission to display them (Form found here)
