Beyond the Dollars: The Impact of Collective Giving

Since 2021, members of 100 People Who Care Brant have invested $129,605 in local charities. While each organization received one significant gift, the real story is what those dollars made possible.

Thanks to our members, local charities have been able to:

• Feed children who might otherwise go hungry through school nutrition and weekend food programs.

• Keep food on the tables of individuals and families facing food insecurity.

• Support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence with counselling, advocacy, and essential services.

• Provide emergency assistance to victims of crime during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

• Help children with disabilities experience the joy and inclusion of summer camp.

• Expand opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities through Special Olympics.

• Give vulnerable youth safe spaces, mentoring, recreation, and life-changing programs.

• Support adults with developmental disabilities through inclusive community programming.

• Fund transportation, equipment, and other resources that improve quality of life for local residents.

• Strengthen community programs that reduce isolation and build meaningful connections.

Some of our gifts have funded specific projects, while others have strengthened essential programs that serve hundreds of local people each year. Every recipient was selected by our members and every dollar stayed right here in Brant, Brantford, or Six Nations of the Grand.

Together, we've proven that when people give together, local generosity becomes local transformation.
