The 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte Scholarship award is open to 100 Black Men of Charlotte Chapter mentees ONLY who are preparing to pursue an associate or undergraduate degree on a full-time basis at a U.S. accredited college or university. Applicants can major in any discipline.
The 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte’s Scholarship program is available to high school seniors who have successfully met all the qualifications of our mentoring program. Recipients must continue to meet all eligibility requirements during the four (4) year award period. Scholarship awards must be applied toward tuition, room, board, and/or books.
Eligibility requirements include, but are not limited to:
Mentee member of the 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte
Minimum of two (2) years of consecutive and current participation
Will enroll as a full-time student at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2025
Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Complete at least fifty (50) hours of community service in conjunction with the Movement of Youth Program (MOY)
Leadership involvement, i.e., president, treasurer, captain, etc. with school and/or community organization/sport
Founder of an organization or service
