Welcome Letter 

Welcome to the Seattle Children's Department of Anesthesiology. We hope that you will have a great experience with us. We have designed a curriculum to help you get the most out of your time with us. 

The curriculum is organized into the following tabs:

• Pediatric airway modules: (This is a REQUIREMENT - Must be completed prior to OR day)

  • • 3 Comprehensive Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) modules on the following Pediatric Airway Topics: 

      1. Basic Airway Anatomy and Assessment

      2. Manual (Bag-Mask) Ventilation

      3. Endotracheal Intubation

• Note cards:

  • • Each of the enclosed note cards addresses one of 6 didactics. Please use these as prompts for discussion with the anesthesia faculty you encounter if you feel like this would enhance your OR experience.

• Pre-Assessment:

  • • This will facilitate your learning experience and will help us continue to improve our curriculum and teaching methodologies.  It only takes 5 minutes. Please fill it out before your OR day.

• Daily Airway Tally: (REQUIREMENT)

  • • Fill this out at the end of EVERY OR day

• Rotation Evaluation: (REQUIREMENT)

  • • Fill this out after your rotation is complete. Please help continue to improve our curriculum by taking the time to fill it out.
