Install and Open the Venmo App: If you don't have the Venmo app already, you'll need to download it from your app store and create an account.
Link a Payment Method: Before you can make payments, you'll need to link a payment method to your Venmo account. This can be a bank account, debit card, or credit card. Venmo will guide you through the process of adding your payment method.
Add Contacts: To send money to someone, you need to have them as a contact in your Venmo app. You can search for your friends by their username, phone number, or email and add them.
Initiate a Payment:
Open the Venmo app.
Tap the "Pay or Request" button, usually located at the bottom center of the screen (represented by a pencil icon).
Select the person you want to send money to from your contacts or enter their username, phone number, or email.
Enter the amount you want to send.
Optionally, you can add a note or emoji to describe the payment.
Choose whether the payment is for "Payment" or "Request."
Review and Confirm: Review the payment details to ensure they're correct, including the recipient's username and the amount. Once you're satisfied, tap the "Pay" or "Request" button.
Complete the Transaction: You may be prompted to choose a payment method if you have multiple linked. Confirm your choice and complete the transaction.
Transaction Confirmation: After the transaction is completed, you'll receive a confirmation screen with the option to share the payment on your Venmo feed or through other social media platforms.
