Scratch Jr. is an introductory programming language that enables students to create their own interactive stories and games.
Scholars will have the opportunity to:
Manipulate graphical programming blocks to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing.
Modify characters in the paint editor, add their own voices and sounds, even insert photos of themselves.
Use the programming blocks to make their characters come to life.
3rd Grade
Growing up, Choose Your Own Adventure books were one of my favorite genres of reading. The idea of being able to decide the fate of a character in a story was exciting and kept me wanting more.
Scholars will be learn how these stories are structured and the elements they include such as: setting, character development, plot structure, conflict, and point of view.
In this exploration, students will have the opportunity to:
Create an original narrative in the form of a Choose Your Own Adventure interactive story.
Use the book creator app to make their writing come to life.
