Honor Choir meets for a full period every day and is an auditioned group of 10th-12th grade students at VHHS. This elite ensemble spends their class time having a great time while they strive to better themselves in the choral art. Singers in this class work on all genres of music, vocal technique, music theory, sight-reading, and composition. They have performed such works as Mozart Requiem, Faure Requiem, Thompson's Testament of Freedom, and Rutter's Requiem. Honor Choir consistently receives superior ratings at state, regional, and national festivals. Additionally the Honor Choir has been the featured choir at several state conferences and collegiate honor choirs.
