Hello! My name is Shannon Stewart. I am so thankful to be a part of the West family and THRILLED to be your child's teacher this year! I grew up in Vestavia and attended West, so this school feels like home to me and holds such a special place in my heart.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education at Auburn University. War Eagle!! This is my tenth year of teaching. I believe I have been called to the most rewarding profession. I am humbled that I get to be a part of YOUR child's journey! It is an absolute joy to use my gifts to invest in the life of your sweet first grader. I love traveling, reading, going to church, leading a small group, spending time with friends, and finding fun and creative ways to keep my students interested in learning.

Thank you for entrusting your child to my care this year. I will do everything I can to love, teach and meet their needs while helping them become who they were created to be!
