WHO WILL BE ATTENDING: Laboratory animal technologists, Animal ethics committee members, Designated veterinarians, Animal welfare officers, Animal caretakers, Scientists, Veterinary nurses, Facility managers
The SAALAS 2022 Conference will provide a platform for sharing and discussing key advances in laboratory animal housing and care, laboratory animal 4Rs, management of animal facilities during disaster situations and education and training for personnel. In addition to presentations, and discussions, the conference will offer the following
· Unique preconference day focused on the current good practice for the housing and care of zebrafish as well as progress in the implementation of the 4Rs for the zebrafish model at the NWU National Aquatic Bioassay Facility.
· One and a half days workshop dedicated for education and training for laboratory animal caretakers that will include establishing the education and training needs of animal caretakers and the CPD needs for veterinarians and para-veterinarians.

Gold Sponsorship Package: R50 000.00
Sponsorship of conference bags – a bag bearing the sponsor and conference logos will be provided to each delegate. The organising committee will select the bag to be purchased and logo placement approval will be given to the sponsor.
Four free registrations to the conference.
One keynote speaker slot - sponsor to supply the speaker, but both the speaker and topic to be presented need to be approved by the organising committee.
Inclusion of one insert for promotional purposes in the conference bag – insert of up to 8 pages, A4 size to be provided by the sponsor OR a promotional item to be supplied by the sponsor.
Two pull up banners can be placed in the main conference venue for the duration of the conference, as well as at the conference social event – sponsor to provide banners.
Sponsor’s logo to be placed on the conference website with a link to the sponsor’s website.
Sponsor’s logo to be placed on the sponsors’ slide at the conference.
Sponsor’s logo to be placed in the final conference programme.
Sponsor to receive a 6 x 2 sq. m exhibition space in the exhibition area that includes a 2 x tables & four chairs. Additional exhibition space may be available and awarded on an additional fee basis, upon enquiry.
Silver Sponsorship Package: R35 000.00
Sponsorship of the delegate lanyards that will have the sponsors’ logo on it – the conference committee will choose the lanyard and the sponsoring company will have logo placement approval.

Session Sponsorship (cost per session) R8 000.00
Sponsor’s logo to be displayed on the projection screen in the auditorium, in the break before the sponsored session, during the session (between presentations) and after the conclusion of the session.
Sponsor’s logo to be placed in the final conference programme, next to the session name.
Sponsor will be able to select the session from the programme that they wish to sponsor.
Sponsor an African Delegate: R12 000.00
Sponsor a delegate from an African country to attend this conference.
The sponsorship will cover the conference registration fee, accommodation and meals.
Airfare, visa costs and other costs are not included in the sponsorship.
Awards of sponsorships will be on a competitive basis, selected by the conference committee, based on the strength and relevance of motivation, abstract and CV.
Sponsorship recipients will be required to present an oral abstract or poster at the conference.
The sponsor’s logo or name to be displayed on the projection screen in the auditorium in a plenary session at the conference.

The cost to design adverts is not included, the advert must be provided, ready to print. Specifications for resolution will be supplied.
Tailor Made Sponsorship Package
Should you wish to sponsor/contribute towards the conference in another way that has not been mentioned here, we would be delighted to put together a tailor made package for you.
Sponsorship items could include speaker gifts, donations, lunch drinks sponsor, dinner drinks sponsor, entertainment sponsor, etc.
The sponsor will be acknowledged at the conference in accordance with the sponsorship item.

Exhibition Opportunities
There will be a small exhibition area at the conference that will afford sponsors and exhibitors the opportunity to network with clients and display/launch any new products.
Details of exhibition stands:
3 x 2 sqm space only
1 x table & two chairs per exhibitor
Each exhibitor will be able to display 2 x standard pull up banner
Each exhibitor will be allowed to bring three staff members to exhibit.
Exhibitors do not have access to conference sessions unless they are full registered delegates.
Exhibitor tables will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. The floor plan will be sent out to exhibitors once your application has been received. Cost: R 12,000 inclusive of VAT
