Study/Living Abroad: 6 weeks in Bremen, Germany, as part of the German American Partnership Program in high school; a year in Hamburg, Germany, as a Congress Bundestag scholarship recipient in high school; Global Awareness program at Agnes Scott in Berlin and East Germany for a month in 1990
Meet the Teacher: After my freshman year in high school I was fortunate enough to travel for the first time to Germany. That experience inspired me to apply to go back for a year. Immersion in another language and culture was a defining experience of my youth. One of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of teaching another language is to try to bring that feeling of immersion into the classroom. I hope to make language learning fun and challenging for my students.
