Located in the Panshet region of Pune district, Tikona Fort—also known as Vitandgad—is a majestic hill fort standing at an elevation of 3,580 feet (1,093 meters). The fort is known for its triangular shape, panoramic views of the Pawna Lake, and its deep connection to Maratha history, having once been a strategic military watchpoint under the rule of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Surrounded by lush green hills, Tikona offers trekking routes of moderate difficulty and houses historical remnants such as stone doorways, water tanks, caves, and the ancient Trimbakeshwar Mahadev temple. It serves as a popular destination for history enthusiasts, trekkers, and nature lovers alike.
Now, with Mission Urja Fort Edition, Tikona Fort enters a new chapter—embracing sustainable solar electrification to enhance security, tourism, heritage preservation, and community development.
