Please click here for the link to Mrs. Kleinknecht's webpage.  This will direct you to your child's summer reading requirement.  Each incoming 7th grader  is required to read  a pair of texts (a fiction and non-fiction). In September, students will be asked to write an essay in class showing how the author of the nonfiction text AND the main character of the novel relate to one of the following themes:

• Nothing is impossible.

• Obstacles can be overcome with hope and determination. 

• Friendship can help us through difficult times.

• Adversity builds character.

• People are more alike than they are different. 

• A positive attitude can make almost anything better. 

• All human beings have worth.

• Animals are a blessing to those who love them.
