Our school, in its many activities, has many opportunities for students to express themselves in their talents and abilities. But one of these programs gives students a special opportunity: the opportunity to make decisions in the school. These decisions involve the days where many students wear certain things, can buy certain items, and generally have an unusual and interesting experience in their school day. These events are regulated by the Student Council.
WHAT is the Student Council?
Have you ever wondered who chooses school spirit days? Well, wonder no more, because these decisions are often made by our Student Council. The HBW Student Council is made up of a body of students who are elected to choose and curate certain events in our school community. These students come into school at 7:45 on the first Wednesday of each month for a Student Council meeting. During this meeting, they plan our spirit days, organize sales, and sometimes curate teacher-appreciation gifts.
This group of students is organized into certain positions:
The Executive Board
The Student Body President
The Vice President
The Treasurer
The Recorder
The Class Presidents:
5th Grade, 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade
The Homeroom Representatives:
one person from each homeroom in the school
