ELA - 8 semesters

ELA I (2 semesters)

ELAII (2 semesters)

ELA III (2 semesters) or College Comp I and College Lit

Senior ELA or College Comp I, College Comp II or Public Speaking

ELA Elective - Argument & Debate, Creative Writing, Drama, Cinema and Literature, Mythology, Studies in Science Fiction, Shakespeare, and the Supernatural, Special Effects Stage Makeup.

Math - 6 semesters (more is recommended)

Algebra I (2 semesters)

Geometry or Formal Geometry (2 semesters)

Algebra 1.5 or higher (2 semesters)

Science - 6 semesters

Physical Science (2 semesters)

Biology (2 semesters)

Choice of science classes for two semesters - Chemistry, Human Anatomy, Integrated Science, Botany/Zoology, College Chemistry, College Biology, Physics.

Social Studies - 6 semesters

American History -9th Grade (2 semesters)

World History -10th Grade(2 semesters)

American Government-11th Grade (2 semesters)

College Now Sequence

American History Through Literature -9th Grade (2 semesters)

College World Civilizations I & II - 10th Grade (2 semesters)

College American Political Systems - 11th Grade (2 semesters)

Students following the College Now sequence for Social Students will need two additional semesters of social studies - College Psychology, College Sociology, College World Religions, College Philosophy, World History through Literature, U.S. History via Hollywood, Contemporary Issues.

Health - 1 semester

Personal Finance - 1 semester

PE - 4 semester

Must have 9th grade PE

Students may select College Fit for Life which is 1 credit and counts as two semesters. Advanced Fitness or Advanced Weight Training are 1 credit and counts as two semesters. College Wellness Center is .5 credit and only counts as 1 semester.

Practical Arts - 4 semesters (1 credit must be computer based)

Fine Arts - 3 semesters

There is no certain number of electives. We only have a few classes which are electives. Students earn electives by taking more than the required number of classes in one or more of the categories above.
