Concert Choir

Course Description: Concert Choir serves as a welcoming entry point to our choral program, welcoming all interested students without the need for an audition. This ensemble offers a comprehensive choral experience, with a focus on both vocal development and fundamental music education.

Within the supportive framework of the Concert Choir, students will refine their vocal techniques, learning the art of singing effectively in a collaborative ensemble. Simultaneously, they will cultivate a strong foundation in the fundamentals of music, encompassing key aspects such as musical terminology, insights into renowned composers, music literacy, and the sharpening of sight-reading skills.

Beyond the classroom experience, participation in this choir involves a multifaceted approach. Students will not only engage in regular rehearsals and performances but will also undertake a series of additional assessments, written assignments, and examinations. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical education and nurtures an environment of continual progress and excellence.

The Concert Choir experience provides more than just musical skills; it instills discipline, encourages the development of musicianship, and lays a solid groundwork for further exploration in the captivating world of choral music. As an inclusive ensemble, it fosters a sense of community and allows students to discover the joys of singing together.
