Heidi House — Music

Elementary Music Teacher Specialist/Choir Director

Hello singers, dancers and creators of joy!

My name is Heidi House, Ms. Heidi or Ms. Heidi House.  I teach elementary music and am the director of Company, Crescendo and Noteables, the all district VUSD choirs.

This is my 20th year teaching music in VUSD and 39th year of teaching! I have taught at E.P. Foster, Lincoln, Pierpont, Loma Vista, Elmhurst, Poinsettia, Montalvo, ATLAS, Junipero Serra, Blanche Reynolds, Citrus Glen, Junanmaria, and Mound!! I teach my secondary choirs on the main stage at Ventura High and my elementary choirs at Blanche and J. Serra.  I also work with the Drama program at Ventura High as the vocal music director for their spring musicals.

In my free time, I love to teach piano lessons, garden, read books, sew, knit and camp.  I love being in nature, watching birds, looking at the flowers, knitting and enjoying life!

I am the very proud mom of two college graduate, adult sons.  Both of them have played multiple instruments for most of their lives. They also danced in their Greek Church dance troupe. The arts are a huge part of all of our lives!

Being a music teacher fills my heart with great joy.  I'm passionate about creating a safe space for my students to create, sing and dance with confidence and pride. I love watching my choirs perform and seeing the smiles on their faces as they sing and dance their way through our concerts. ❤️🎶
