I am a lifetime lover of art. Thanks to my eccentric parents, who always encouraged me to create. I plan on encouraging every student in the VUSD like I was. We are all artists at heart. I am an alumna of the Ventura school district and attended J Serra, Balboa, and Buena. I graduated in May from California Lutheran University. Working as an art teacher in the Oxnard district for three years has helped me grow as a teacher, and I have created some strong relationships. I can't wait to bring quality art into every classroom. In my free time, I play in a band and direct movies. All art mediums are valuable, not just the traditional paint and canvas. My preferred art medium is watercolor due to its unpredictability. It just does what it wants; as an artist, you have to let go of control and let the paint do its thing. Looking forward to an exciting first year at VUSD.
