Our math program uses CPM curriculum which is focused on collaborative learning and consist review. Our science courses use Inspire curriculum which has numerous hands on activities.
Having the same English teacher two years in a row allows students to make great gains like you've never seen in any other setting. A teacher gets to know their students' best learning strategies and monitor progress daily.
The goal of electives at Lemon Grove is to expose students to as many industry sectors as possible through the wheel of electives offered each year. Students in turn will have a better understanding of our high school pathways and be able to make informed decisions to pursue their interests during high school. We also hope this design of electives will inspire other 6-8 teachers to join the movement of exposure to career pathways at the middle school level.
