Communication

Please make sure you are enrolled for alerts from Parent Square. This is how communication is sent from the district, school, and teachers.

If you need to communicate with your child's teacher, it is best to do so via Parent Square if it is during school hours (until 4:00). If it is after hours, please email the teacher for a response the next day.
(Please see below regarding instances in which your child should begin to take control of their own communication.)

Student Communication

When possible/appropriate, please encourage your child to initiate communication with their teacher. For example, if they are absent or have questions regarding an assignment or grade, they can email their teacher directly from their VUSD gmail account (ending in @vsd.org). This is one of the steps we expect as students take more responsibility as a middle schooler.
