In this new part of our project we are going to be part of "Aigua de Barri" (Neighbourhood Water) organised by Aigües de Barcelona and which will take a full 5 weeks to complete. The main objective is to study and make a comprehensive research about the total amount of water that is wasted/spent in our school. This will also in turn, be used to make the students aware of the importance of water. Here are the results of our project:
Here you can see some students creating the school map in order to point out all the water points that we can find in the school.
After analysing the water points in the school and the water consumption, our students suggested different measures to reduce the water consumption. One of them was to design posters for all the water points in the school. After some weeks we analysed if this measure was reflected in the consumption of water, and unfortunately, we discovered that there was no change. Our students claimed that they became more aware of the importance of this key element in our lives even though it was not reflected in the final result of all the school parameters.
