King’s Lynn is a town located in the east of England in the county of Norfolk. It has a population of approximately 40,000. The nearest city to King’s Lynn is Norwich, which is 44 miles east. King’s Lynn is close to Sandringham house which is where the royal family go to stay for Christmas.

Springwood High School is a comprehensive school with specialist performing arts status and a long history of providing an excellent education to pupils in West Norfolk. The school is part of the West Norfolk Academy Trust with over 1500 students’ boys and girls, aged between 11-18 years. The school believes that excellent academic qualifications provide each student with the best life chances and opportunities to ensure a successful and fulfilled future. In the last two years the percentage of students gaining 5 higher grades including English and Maths has risen significantly.

Springwood High school offers a wide range of opportunities, both within and beyond the classroom - it is vital that every student participates in other areas of school life. Springwood expects every student to take part in other aspects of our offer to them including:

Springwood High school shares a common passion with the other European schools to exchange knowledge and good practice in trying to stop/reduce Early School Dropout in our schools.

The Key people who will be in charge in running this is project will be Daniel Manu Computer Science Teacher, Tammy Churchyard Head of Computer Science and Mary Bye Head of Vocational. In case any of these people leaves their post in future, we have Laura Howlett. History Teacher, Dave Moat Geography Teacher and Karen Williams Modern Foreigner Language Teacher, who are all actively involved in our currently Erasmus+ project and will be glad to be involved in a new project.

Our school have had other eTwinning project in the past and we are currently on our final year of another Erasmus + project with 5 other countries. We are one of the coordinating schools and have gain a good knowledge and experience which we are looking forward to bring into this new project. We take every project with almost pride and joy.

We have highly trained Computing and ICT teachers who are an asset to our current Erasmus+ project. We also have other qualified teachers in different subjects like English, Maths, Science, Food Technology, Arts, Drama, History, Geography, etc who are always involved in any aspect of an Erasmus project.
