In our project, while students work on the history of communication, with a great deal of activities, workshops, games, competitions, etc, teachers are being formed on new methodologies. Each country is in charge of providing training for the other partners with training workshops, lectures, or presentations during the mobilities held at their schools.
During the mobility to Poland teachers attended a presentation by one of the staff teachers at the school and also attended a lecture at the University of Warsaw by a professor specialized in this subject. The handout and presentations below have been made by teachers from this project. On the following link you will find a folder with the handouts given at the University presentation.
Italy was in charge of the topic "integrating the new technologies" in the classroom. Here you can find the handout and two presentations about this issue, which is not itself a new methodology, but which can be considered of paramount importance in getting rid of those traditional methods in which students were just spectators. The last video is a sample video created with Powtoons which was used in the presentation about the efectiveness of this tool to get students engaged in the presentation and motivated.
Bulgaria is responsible for the Flipped Classroom Methodology, which summary can be read in the following Google Document.
In the presentation you can see what it is and what are the main advantages of using this methodology.
Croatia is in charge of the methodology about "Thinking Routines" and "Visible Thinking". For this reason, during the mobility in Croatia teachers attended a very interesting presentation and workshop about these key concepts in education. On the following links you will find the handout of the presentation and the presentation itself, and some photos taken during the workshops.
One of the objectives of our Erasmus+ Project “Communication and Culture” is to learn about new methodologies and approaches. Each country was responsible for one of the various methods defined from the beginning and responsible for training teachers during mobilities
The Finnish school was in charge of the Problem Based Learning (PBL), and apart from preparing a powerpoint presentation, we had the opportunity to visit Turku University where we attended a seminar by Marti Hellstorm.
