THE VCUSD 2022-2023 PARENT-GUARDIAN/STUDENT HANDBOOK
Dear VCUSD Families,
As a school community we are committed to protecting each other by adhering to safety protocols in all areas of our campuses. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all VCUSD students and staff we are providing the following guidelines and expectations to our community. As a condition of returning to in-person learning, all students and community members are expected to comply with the guidance and expectations provided in this document.
We know that students will need time to learn the new safety procedures and protocols expected at school. The age and developmental needs of the students may warrant additional practice opportunities. However, unwillingness to comply with safety expectations in violation of educational code must be addressed to keep the community safe during the pandemic. A consistent unwillingness to uphold safety protocols may result in disciplinary action aligned to the VCUSD Progressive Discipline Plan.
Prior to return to in-person learning, parents are required to complete the following:
Comply with daily health screening requirements
Update emergency card information available electronically by following these links: English/Spanish
Complete parent agreement form for compliance with the VCUSD School Safety Compact for Return to In-Person Learning
These expectations apply to all persons on campus and are written in accordance with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Covid-19 Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools in California, 2021-22 School Year.
Additional safety guidance can be found in the VCUSD COVID-19 Prevention Program (CPP). This document will be presented to the VCUSD Governing Board on August 18th, 2021. This document will be made available on our website after that date.
