GoGuardian allows teachers to greatly increase the amount of instructional time in the classroom by giving them insight into student activity and managing the use of Chromebooks in the classroom. Among other things, teachers and administrators have the ability to:
lock a Chromebook for up to five minutes during class time
view in live time a student's screen and open tabs
push a webpage to all Chromebooks
allow/block particular sites
Q: Who has access to GoGuardian?
A: All teachers in Aeries with a roster. Accounts can be created for others as well if a tech ticket is submitted. Site administrators receive notifications about possible explicit material or self-harm. Parents receive reports of student usage.
Q: Does GoGuardian monitor student activity when outside of school?
A: There are after-school settings configured in GoGuardian. Filtering is still applied, but there are more sites open to students during after school hours: entertainments, games, etc.
