Session 1

Session 1 Archive. Recorded 2.22.19.

Defining teacher leadership and using data for instruction

Next Session April 12 10a - 11:30a

Next Steps

Consider the following questions:

In order for a teacher leader to support teachers, what resources do they need?

What data do they need?

What decision-making power and leverage do teachers need in order to be able to work effectively to support teachers?

What barriers make this challenging? What are some possible solutions for those barriers? And what resources would help provide for those solutions?

How might you use the data conversation protocol we used in our session to support instructors in using data for instructional planning?

Follow-up

I will follow up with each of you individually via email and/or by phone during the first week in April to discuss your thoughts on these questions AND to discuss the notes from the first session.

Access the resources from Session 1, including the PowerPoint, the data tables, Learning Forward Guide, and the SBI Roadmap. Click on the link below OR on the individual links in the next section.

What is a teacher leader?

These words reflect our first discussion about what it means to be a teacher leader. We'll revisit this during our last session.
