Welcome to Kindergarten! / ¡Bienvenidos a kinder!

Hello Parents,

My name is, Mrs. Loya, and I am very excited to be a part of the kindergarten team at Lilac School. I am thrilled to be your teacher, and I am looking forward to a year of learning, fun, and adventure. I can't wait to learn all about you, but first I'll tell you a little about me.

I was born in Tijuana, Baja California, but immigrated to and was raised in Valley Center. I attended Valley Center Schools, Orange Glen High School and San Diego State University. I graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Studies in 1988 and my K-12 teaching credential in 1989. I live in Valley Center with my husband and two cats. We have two beautiful adult daughters, Marisa and Jessica.

Kindergarten is packed with lots of wonderful things to learn, new friends to meet, and fun games to play! My goal is become a partner with YOU in your child's education. I will only have your child for a short time so I want to make a contribution that will last a lifetime. I blend traditional teaching practices with an infusion of technology (when appropriate) and a lot of hands-on learning. My hope is that by working together we will inspire your child to grow as a life long learner.

Mi nombre es Sra. Loya y estoy muy emocionada de ser parte del equipo del kinder en la Escuela Lila. Estoy encantada de ser su maestra y espero con entusiasmo un año de aprendizaje, diversión y aventura. Quiero saber todo sobre ti, pero primero te contaré un poco sobre mí.

Nací en Tijuana, Baja California, pero emigré a y crecí en Valley Center. Asistí a las escuelas de Valley Center, la Escuela Secundaria de Orange Glen y la Universidad Estatal de San Diego. Me gradué con un bachiller en Estudios Liberales en 1988 y mi credencial de maestro de K-12 en 1989. Vivo en Valley Center con mi esposo y dos gatos. Tenemos dos hijas hermosas, Marisa y Jessica.

¡El kinder está repleto de muchas cosas maravillosas para aprender, nuevos amigos para conocer y juegos divertidos para jugar! Mi objetivo es convertirme en un socio con USTED en la educación de su hijo. Solo tendré a su hijo por un tiempo corto, así que quiero hacer una contribución que dure toda la vida. Combino las prácticas de enseñanza tradicionales con una infusión de tecnología (cuando corresponde) y mucho aprendizaje práctico. Mi esperanza es que al trabajar juntos inspiraremos a su hijo a querer aprender por vida.
