GOALS FOR THE FIRST TRIMESTER

(END of Trimester 1 is in December)


Please be aware that the skills for the first trimester progress report are minimal skills students need to achieve in kindergarten. To be successful your child will need to continuously work on kindergarten common core standards. Our goals for the first trimester are:

1. Writing Goals:

  • I can write my first name

  • I can write all letters (uppercase and lowercase)

  • I can write sounds and label illustrations

2. Math Goals:

  • I can count to 20.

  • I can identify, write, and sequence numbers to 10.

  • I can identify four 2-D shapes (square, circle, rectangle, and triangle) and identify two attributes of the shape.


3. Reading Goals:

  • I can identify all letters (uppercase and lowercase)

  • I can name all letter sounds.

  • I can read 10 sight words.

  • I can read a DRA 1 level book.



LAS METAS DE SU HIJO/A PARA EL PRIMER TRIMESTRE

Favor de tener en cuenta que las destrezas del primer trimestre son estándares mínimos en kindergarten. Para tener éxito los estudiantes necesitan ayuda con las siguientes metas. El fin del primer trimester es en diciembre. Nuestras metas para el primer trimestre son:


1. Escritura:

  • Yo puedo escribir mi primer nombre.

  • Yo puedo escribir todas las letras.

  • Yo puedo escribir sonidos y etiquetar mis ilustraciones.


2. Matemáticas:

  • Yo puedo contar hasta 20.

  • Yo puedo identificar y escribir los números hasta 10.

  • Yo puedo escribir los números en secuencia hasta 10.

  • Yo puedo identificar 5 formas de 2 dimensiones (cuadrado, círculo,

  • rectángulo, triángulo) y dos atributos de cada una.


3. Lectura:

  • Yo puedo leer un libro del nivel 1.

  • Yo puedo identificar todas las letras y sus sonidos.

  • Yo puedo leer 10 palabras de uso frecuente.
