Common vCast issues and fixes.
If the vCast receiver app prompts for an upgrade key after a potential RMA replacement this is caused by Viewsonic not having entered the new display into their vCast servers.
Trying entering this code if prompted for an update key as shown in the image. "ZBCCTA7G"
If this code does not resolve the issue then a case must be submitted.
Pin code entered could be incorrect. Double check that the pin code entered is what is currently shown on the display and check for "0"s instead of "O"s
Make sure the vCastSender program on the laptop is up to date with the latest firmware from the Company Portal. It may at times need to be uninstalled and re-installed if the error persists
If the cast fails with a "waiting for the receiver to accept" error then try casting again and watch the Viewsonic display. A popup at the bottom of the screen should show with a button to "Allow" the cast that must be pressed on the screen.
If the above methods do not help then there is a way to clear the data on the vCastReceiver app from the Viewsonic that may help resolve some issues.
