Call to Action- Artistic Expressions

After listening to the podcasts or engaging in the BHI event, please consider creating an artistic expression using creativity, interest, ability, and motivation to share with the United States. This artistic expression should have a connection to your reflection of the experiences and perspectives of the Feb. 12th event and/or listening to the podcasts. Art students at Salem High School designed two images to represent the past, present, and future of segregation, desegregation, and integration.

Opening Black History Initiative Video sharing stories across VBCPS about their experience of Black history and the BHI interviews.

A middle school student, Alexander R. shared an artistic expression with the community.

A high school student, Sareyah R., VA/DC State Military Youth of the Year shared this artistic expression focused on equality in the world.
