Curated Works of Substance…
Reflection is the process we take to make meaning and learn from our experiences. If we can deconstruct those key experiences, there is so much to learn about who we are and the path we can create for ourselves in life and work.
Think about the tasks, activities, learning experiences you already do that require life-skills from the Graduate Profile such as: communication, resilience, thinking, inquiring, problem-solving, etc… What if you took a moment to talk about these skills (maybe one, maybe a few, maybe all eight…) before the task. Have students evaluate themselves, where they are before and after the learning experience. This experience is most likely an excellent opportuntiy to have students save this as a "currated works of substance". For example, Kat Baker used this tool, The Path to Future Ready, with these learning experiences to have students reflect on Where am I now, and what do I need to get there?
