Students who apply to the ATC and are accepted will attend their home school for half of the day and the ATC in their desired program the other half. Students who complete programs at the ATC have the unique opportunity to continue their education in college, enter the job market, join the military, or pursue any pathway to success that they choose. The Tech Center offers high school students in grades 11 and 12 the opportunity to combine academic and vocational preparation to achieve personal fulfillment, responsible citizenship, and economic self-sufficiency. With 23 programs, the Tech Center prepares students for quality, career employment, and provides them with the competencies necessary to advance beyond entry-level positions. Students who apply to and are accepted to the Tech Center attend their home school for half of the day and the Tech Center in their desired program for the other half.
The Environmental Studies Program at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Brock Environmental Center offers a unique opportunity for students to expand their understanding of sustainable economics and business innovation, social sustainability, environmental sustainability and natural resource stewardship. Watch the video to see the opportunities the ESP provides students as well as the beautiful facility in which students will work while in the program. Students who apply to and are accepted to the ESP attend their home school for half of the day and the Brock Environmental Center the other half. This program prepares students for post-secondary education and provides opportunities to investigate careers related to the environment and sustainability. Students will acquire the globally competitive skills necessary to be successful in pathways after high school and to become future scientists, politicians, and business leaders within our community and larger world.

Classes follow the TCC Calendar. Students in the program will travel to the Virginia Beach TCC campus for class with TCC faculty. Transportation will be available via Advanced Technology Center (ATC) busses from the home school and the daily schedule will align with the morning or afternoon ATC schedule. Students enrolled in the program will earn 3 high school credits and 17 college credits. Students will be required to complete a 40-hour internship at a clinic or shelter during the school year. Applicants must be 16 years old on the first day of classes, and have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
