This year we will be using Classcraft to encourage collaboration and leadership. Students will be grouped in teams of 3-4 and each will choose the type of character they are interested in playing. Students will earn XP (Experience Points) for working together and following classroom rules and they can lose HP (Health Points) for not following directions. Teams will have to work together to protect each other from the consequences of losing HP. Throughout the quarter or semester your student is with me, they will have the chance to work with their team to get as much experience as possible.

In addition to gaining experience for following rules and participating in class activities, students will be compete in boss battles with their teammates, complete individual quests, and have access to an Extra XP Bounty Board. Once they show me the completed activity, they will earn the XP and be on their way to the next player and new gear!

Parents can join in on the fun too! If you want to be able to see how your student is doing, give them access to a special baby Griffin pet, and award them valuable gold pieces for things they do at home, send me an email! I can help you set up a parent account so you can be in on the daily action.
