The Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center (Tech Center) offers high school students in grades 11 and12 the opportunity to combine academic and vocational preparation to achieve personal fulfillment, responsible citizenship, and economic self-sufficiency.
The Environmental Studies Program at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Brock Environmental Center offers a unique opportunity for students to expand their understanding of sustainable economics and business innovation, social sustainability, environmental sustainability and natural resource stewardship.
Dual Enrollment through Tidewater Community College is available to VBCPS Students. Kempsville High School students interested in taking a rigorous courseload, who have completed their graduation required courses may explore DE opportunities with their school counselors. Typically available to rising 11th and 12th grade students, these courses are offered at a reduced rate allowing students to take a more rigorous college courseload while still in high school. Courses are offered both at the home high school and at Tidewater Community College.
