Important Dates

Here is the list of Independence Chorus events for the 2019-2020 school year. Some events are attended by those students who have auditioned; others like our winter and spring concerts are MANDATORY and attended by all students for a grade.

*Saturday, November 2, 2019; time TBA: All-District Chorus Auditions for 7th and 8th graders only at Plaza Middle School. There is a small audition fee.

*Wednesday, December 4, 2019; 6:30 PM: Chorus Winter Concert Old Donation School in their brand new auditorium. Mandatory (20% of Overall Grade)

*Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, February 6-8, 2020: All-District Chorus Location: Booker T. Washington High School. For those 7th/8th graders chosen after the audition in November

* Friday OR Saturday, March 20 or 21, 2020: District Chorus Assessment. Time TBA. Location: TBA. There will be 1 or 2 After School Rehearsals for those chosen.

* Saturday, March 28, 2020: All-City Chorus at the Sandler Center. Those 6th/7th graders chosen to participate in All-City MUST take part in all rehearsals. Rehearsal dates, times and locations will be given later.

*Monday, June 1, 2020; 6:30PM: Chorus Spring Concert here at I.M.S. Mandatory (20% of Overall Grade)
