EMERGENCY ALERTS AT THE VAUX

Your Emergency Preparedness Committee is pleased to announce that an emergency alerts notification system, approved by the Vaux COA Board in January, is now in place – set up, configured, and (subject to final Board approval) operationally ready to go live.
The alert system is provided by Regroup Mass Notification. It sends alerts (i.e. evacuate now, shelter-in-place, all-clear) by SMS/text, phone message, and/or email – like these:

Signing up on a desktop or laptop, rather than a mobile device, is recommended. PLEASE follow this guide.
Regroup requires a “First Name”, “Last Name”, and your “Email” address.
If you want emergency alerts emailed to you, make sure that “Receive Email” is checked.
If you want phone call alerts, be sure “Receive TTS/Calls” is checked.
If you want alert notifictions texted to you, make sure “Receive SMS/Text” is checked.
To verify (confirm) your phone, click "Confirm by SMS/Text".
Enter the Confirmation Code sent to your phone via SMS/text.
When you've completed your subscriber profile, click “Subscribe”.
With Regroup, your personal info is protected – used only for Vaux community emergency readiness and incident response communications (emergencies, safety updates, and critical announcements).
When presented with a "THANKS FOR SUBSCRIBING" web page, you're almost done.
But not quite.
To finish signing up, CHECK YOUR EMAIL.
(You may ignore "Proceed" – it just takes you to disaster preparedness resources on our website.)
Sign-up is NOT complete until you CHECK YOUR EMAIL and verify your email address.
To verify your email address, open this email…

Subject: Confirmation instructions
and click its “Confirm Via Web” button. This will take you to a Regroup email confirmation web page.
WARNING: DO NOT click "Confirm via Regroup Mobile".
Lastly, to complete Regroup sign-up (and your email confirmation), click “Confirm Email Address” in the email confirmation web page.
That's it. You're now signed up for emergency alerts at the Vaux.
