Original Emblems

The original emblems of the Maine State Seal, still in use today are the. northern star, the pine tree, the moose and two male figures - a farmer and a mariner. These emblems represent our proud agricultural and maritime industries, our connection to Maine’s unique and vast natural world, our “northernness.”
