Nardos Spring/Summer ’24 Collection Is To Die For

“Venetian Blooms,” Nardos’ Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection debuted at New York Fashion week on September 8th, 2023. The audience journeyed through whimsical patterns, billowing ball gowns, and a sea of vibrant colors. A symphony of texture and pattern, each look was vastly different and beautiful to gaze upon. Nardos Imam is known for her luxurious use of high-end materials, creating stunning garments that are absolutely irresistible.

Blushing Beauty

Look 65 was my favorite of the bunch. Entitled “Blushing Beauty,” Nardos describes this piece as “a pink v-neck draped duchess satin gown with a peplum gathered skirt and glass 3D floral appliqué.” The tiered, hot pink dress is the physical embodiment of femininity—the shiny fabric coupled with the shoulder bows screams elegance. The runway behind the model complemented the look perfectly: the arch of flowers framed the piece in a way that enhanced its overall stateliness.

Lavender and Green Dream

“Lavender & Green Dream,” otherwise known as Look 61, played with stunning floral accents. “A high-neck, fully embroidered starburst gown with puff sleeves and delicate floral appliqué,” this dress grabbed everyone’s attention. Bows are a common trend this New York Fashion Week, as seen in Loveshackfancy’s “New Romantics” production, and Nardos certainly did not miss out. An oversized sage green bow adorns the model’s waist, adding a brilliant finishing touch to an extravagant gown. Elements of 1980s fashion are employed, such as larger puff sleeves, giving this look a timeless feel. The train gorgeously followed the model as she strutted down the runway, furthering the regal theme.

Blossoms of Elegance

“Blossoms of Elegance” created contrast with the rest of the collection. “A satin faced organza floral print gown with draped rosette and embroidered florals at the waist”, the color was reminiscent of a heavenly blue shade. The material resembled water, as it perfectly fell against the model’s skin. Mimicking the calming waves of a Bahamian beach, the ruffled high-neck juxtaposed the flowy, effortless train.’
