The College Credit Plus (CCP) program allows eligible Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School students the opportunity to earn high school and college credits simultaneously by taking courses at participating Ohio colleges and universities at little or no cost to families. New and returning College Credit Plus families, please review the following information:
IMPORTANT COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS DATES:
February 2026: CCP Information Session at VASJ and complete, & return Intent to Participate Form received during information session. Return Intent to Participate form to your School Counselor by APRIL 1, 2026.
Starting in February 2026: A parent must create an OH|ID Account (if you don’t already have one) at https://ohid.ohio.gov. A parent or guardian must establish an OH|ID to file the CCP Funding Application. Instructions can be found in the 25-26 CCP Funding Application Manual (linked below).
February 1 - April 1: Students should apply to the college or colleges of their choice and receive the acceptance letter. Start early! Check with your preferred university or college for their CCP deadlines. You must have an acceptance letter to submit with your funding application. Parents must then upload a copy of the admission letter to their College Credit Plus Funding Application located in your OH|ID Account. If your student gets an admission letter from more than one college, you must upload each college's admission letter.
STUDENTS- After you file your CCP application, request your high school transcript be sent to the college(s).
Contact your college advisor regarding courses in your area of interest.
Prepare for English and/or Math ACCUPLACER Exam or submit ACT/SAT scores to college if needed.
Monitor email for CCP acceptance information.
Attend college CCP orientation.
April 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. is the HARD DEADLINE to submit an application for funding. Any families that do not submit an application prior to 5 p.m. will be financially responsible for any courses their student enrolls in. This deadline is set forth by the Department of Education and cannot be extended. Even if you are a current CCP participant, you must complete the application for funding once per year!
By early May 2026: You will receive your funding award notification within your College Credit Plus Funding Application located in your OH|ID Account. Once you receive your award notification, your child register for college courses.
A permission slip must be completed and signed by a student and parent/guardian in order for the student to enroll in college courses under the College Credit Plus program.
