The problem is that some people are buying non-recyclable plastic. People make about 33.6 million tons of plastic trash a year and only 6.5% of it is recyclable and 7.7% is turned into energy. The rest goes to the landfill.
My solution is if you are buying plastic, look at the label on the bottom for the triangle. The number in the triangle will tell you how recyclable the plastic is. Items with a 1 or 2 .
