Carrie Llewellyn

Parent Governor 

Carrie is a Professor, a Head of Department at the University of Sussex and a Chartered Psychologist. Having worked in Higher Education for 25 years and having had numerous external appointments including serving on the Board of Directors of a local NHS Trust as a non-executive, she is an experienced ‘critical friend’ who is willing to speak up on issues of attainment, equality and diversity to ensure every learner is reaching their potential. Carrie is also an ex-student of Varndean (1992-94) and a parent of 2 children (10 and 16).
