The child is economically disadvantaged (eligible for free or reduced-price lunch).
The child is unable to speak and comprehend the English language.
The child is homeless, as defined by federal law.
The child is in or has been in foster care in Texas.
The child has a parent on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the Texas National Guard.
The child has a parent who was injured or killed in the line of duty while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
The child has a parent or guardian who has received the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer, firefighter, or emergency medical first responder.
If you believe your child qualifies for free Pre-K, please submit the required documentation to [School Office or Registration Website] by [Deadline]. Acceptable documents may include proof of income, military service records, foster care verification, or other applicable paperwork.
Van Alstyne ISD does not offer a tuition-based Pre-K option.
We look forward to welcoming your child to our Pre-K program!
