Démarche artistique :

« Quand on découvre un pays, on y voit toute la magie, la beauté, la poésie. On pourrait s'arrêter à cet effleurement, car il transforme l'éphémérité de l'instant en une parenthèse enchantée, qui nous ressource, qui nous donne un nouveau souffle. Mais on sait aussi que cette éphémérité ne tient pas compte de la complexité de la réalité. Il existe une tension, nous sommes souvent absorbés par les aspérités de nos sociétés, à tel point que l'absence de légèreté se fait sentir et que nous la recherchons d'une façon désorientée. Je me questionne souvent sur la place de l'expression artistique dans cet aller retour, cette résistance et cette complémentarité entre légèreté et complexité et leurs représentations. En République Tchèque, je suis parfois partie d'une peinture légère, chatoyante, transparente, aquarellée, pour aller vers une surface picturale qui gagne en profondeur, en densité, en contrastes, comme un pays, que l’on découvre et qui se dévoile. Pour ensuite, y revenir d'un trait plus léger. Par le dessin, j’invente des visages, des paysages, des émotions, des énergies, des instants narratifs et graphiques. Peindre est un langage universel, c'est comme écrire une histoire avec trois points de suspension, c'est laisser une part de mystère, une marge d'interprétation, pour soi mais aussi pour les autres. Cette résidence m’a permis de poursuivre mon travail de recherche plastique, de créer sur de plus grands formats, mon espace de création ne me le permettait pas jusqu'à présent. »

Artistic approach :

«When we discover a country, we see all the magic, the beauty, the poetry. We could stop at this first light touch, because it transforms the ephemerality of the moment into an enchanted parenthesis, which gives us a fresh breath. But we also know that this ephemerality does not take into account the complexity of the reality. There is a tension, we are often absorbed by the asperities of our societies, it impacts us so much that we suffered from the lack of lightness therefore we seek for it in a disoriented way. I often wonder about the place of artistic expression in this round-trip, this resistance and this complementarity between lightness and complexity and their representations. In Czech Republic, I sometimes start painting on paper with shimmering colors, transparent, watercolor, but with the time, the pictorial surface gains in depth, density, contrasts, as a country, that we discover and unveils itself. Through drawing, I invent faces, landscapes, emotions, energies, narrative and graphic moments. To paint is a universal language, it is like writing a story with three points of suspension, it is to leave a part of mystery, a margin of interpretation, for myself but also for the others. This residency allowed me to continue plastic research, and to create on bigger formats, until then, my space of creation at home did not allow me to try big formats.»

Uměleckém přístupu :

« Když objevíme zemi, vidíme všechny kouzla, krásu, poezii. Mohli bychom zastavit tento dotek, protože to přeměňuje efemeriditu okamžiku na okouzlenou závorku, která nám dává nový dech. Víme však také, že tato efemeralita nebere v úvahu složitost reality. Existuje napětí, které jsme často pohlceni nepříznivostí našich společností, natolik, že je pociťován nedostatek světla a my to hledáme dezorientovaným způsobem. Často se zajímám o místo uměleckého vyjádření v tomto kole, o tomto odporu a o komplementaritě mezi lehkostí a složitostí a jejich reprezentacemi. V České republice jsem někdy součástí světelného malířství, třpytivých, průhledných, vodových barev, abych šel na obrazový povrch, který získává hloubku, hustotu, kontrasty jako země, které objevujeme a odhalujeme , Pak se vraťte s lehčím tahem. Skrze kresbu vymýšlím tváře, krajiny, emoce, energie, vyprávění a grafické okamžiky. Malovat je univerzální jazyk, je to jako psát příběh se třemi body pozastavení, je to nechat část tajemství, meze interpretace, pro sebe, ale i pro ostatní. Tato rezidence mi umožnila pokračovat ve své práci v oblasti plastikářského výzkumu, vytvářet ve větších formátech, protože mi to dosud můj prostor tvorby neumožňoval. »
