In 2013, the California Department of Education (CDE) adopted the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and recently the CA State Board of Education adopted the CA Science Framework. This conceptual framework is a coherent progression for K-12 and focuses on integration of the 3 dimensions of science identified in the NGSS.
