Explanation of Officer Elections and Private Elections for Serving More than one year

Officers elected can serve a term of 2 years max (except representatives). Officers have 1st choice of office for the following year and are elected by the serving officers.

For example, if Freddy is elected as a Treasurer in 7th grade, he can run for another office at the end of the school year at the officers meeting (Friday at lunch). The current sitting officers will vote for Freddy and hold the position for which he has applied, for the next school year. As such, if more than one current officer wants to run for the same position, the current 8th grade class will be the deciding votes on who take the position.

If for some reason the officers & 8th grade class decide that Freddy is not ready for his requested officer position he has chosen, the position is vacant and will be made pubic to the Scholars class.
