Friday August 16: Watch the Lorax and answer the questions on Google Classroom.

Create seed envelope cards. Attach Lorax quote to the front and write an inspirational message on the back. Give your seeds to a person (not in your family) and spread the message about the importance of bees. Post a picture to one of our APES social media accounts using the #rvhsapes2019

Unit 1 serves as an introduction to environmental science. Much of the unit centers around outlining what exactly comprises the environment and outlining a few of the major ways organisms and the environment interact. Also covered are concepts regarding sustainability as well as the scientific method and basic chemistry and biology.
