Update Google Site
Open your Google Site Portfolio from Year 1
Create a new page and title it "Year 1."
Make your Photo and Design pages from last year "subpages" under the Year 1 page you just created.
Make another new page and title it Year 2 one subpage titled Graphic Design
Read and Write: Why is Graphic Design Important in Business?
Read this article about why graphic design is important in business. Write a two paragraph reflection discussing some ways you feel graphic design can be important to you individually or in business.
Post to your portfolio on your HOME PAGE.
Do not forget to press publish and link your updated portfolio for credit.
Pop Art Effect Notes
Watch this attached YouTube tutorial on how to create a pop art design in Photoshop and document the step by step instructions on a Google Doc.
Pop Art Effect
Using your step by step notes create your own pop art design in Photoshop using on your portrait photos from a previous assignment. Add text saying "Created by: Your full name" somewhere on the design and submit for credit.
Favorite Staff Member
Who is your favorite staff member? A teacher, councilor, DSO, Admin, or coach...Whoever it is, reach out to them and get their permission to capture a portrait photo of them. Using their photo create a poster for them detailing why they are your favorite staff member on campus.
You may use one of the two provided templates or create your own from scratch. Artboard size for those creating their own from scratch is 1080x1350 pixels. Save your finished poster as a PNG FILE.
Email Signature Banner
In photoshop you are going to design and create your own student email signature banner. You can either create your own from scratch using the provided dimensions or follow along and create a similar one to the example in the YouTube video.
Design dimensions:
Width 600px | Height 200px
Information needed on your design:
First and Last Name
Grade Level
Name of school you attend
Your class schedule
Student email
Headshot photo of yourself is optional
Preferably use school colors and logos
Save as a png file, NOT JPEG
Attach file directly to the assignment and submit. Add finished design to your Design tab.
There is a second video attached if you would like to add your finished signature banner to your school email (Optional).
Product Mock-ups
Imagine you have been hired by the school to design 3 different OV themed products to be sold through ASB. Using the link to Graphic Burger, select and download 3 PSD product files that you think students on campus would be interested in buying. Design your products and attach all 3 finished products here for credit.
Change Color of ANYTHING
Watch the short YouTube video on how to change the color of the van and follow along using the image attached. Once completed do the same one more time using an image of your own choosing! Attach both for credit.
Cartoon Effect in Photoshop
Using a portrait photo that was taken earlier in the school year, follow along with the video and give yourself a cartoon looking effect.
Save as a JPEG and submit for credit.
Face Swap
Use the video attached to learn how to swap faces. Create 5 celebrity face swaps of your own and attach them for credit.
