Early Academic Outreach Program
The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) is dedicated to supporting students with the goal of pursuing higher education. We assist first-generation college-bound students from traditionally underserved communities by providing academic support, monitor their educational progress, and relevant information throughout the college-application process. Additionally, we collaborate with high schools and community organizations to ensure that students and their families are fully informed about the benefits of higher education and the requirements for college admission.
Eligibility:
Be currently enrolled in the 9th, 10th, or 11th-grade for the 2023-24 academic year.
Prospective participants must:
Have an interest or goal of attending a college or university after graduating high school.
Strive to maintain a minimum 3.0 or better "a–g" grade point average (GPA).
Have NO D or F grades in "a–g" coursework.
Engage in EAOP events and advising activities throughout your time in high school.
Other factors considered:
Be from an educationally and/or economically disadvantaged background.
Attend a school with a limited college prep curriculum.
Reside in a community with low college-going rates.
Attend a school with below-average SAT/ACT exam scores.
