My name is Mrs. Olivas. I am going to be your First Grade teacher. I have planned many wonderful things for you. We will be doing a lot of reading, math, writing and lots of fun activities. I am so happy you are in my class and I am looking forward to getting to know you. I know we will have an amazing school year!

I wanted to tell you some things about me. I have been a First Grade Teacher for 20+ years. Most of those years have been at Avalon School. I helped open the school in 2005. In fact, I have been in the same classroom the whole time. I might even have taught someone you know. I love being a 1st grade teacher and l love teaching reading. My husband and I live in the mountains where we raised our three children. I like to do lots of different things. I like to go for walks, take pictures, travel, do art and listen to music. Our school year is going to be awesome and I am excited to be your teacher.
